If you roll doubles, stakes are raised as you get the double gameplay moves, meaning you can move one
piece of the total of both dice multiplied by two, or you can move
four different checkers, the total of one dice. Backgammon Online can be played with a simple mouse click, which controls all moves, including dice rolls and moving your pieces across the board.
The first person to get all their checkers to the home board and
remove each checker via dice rolls wins the game. Each game features two players, each with 15 checkers,
on a board consisting of 24 narrow triangles called
points.
On a similar note, you should also be sure to keep a keen eye out
for any checkers that your opponent has left in an isolated
position. Doing so is essentially an invitation for your opponent to knock the checker off the board,
sending you back to the starting point. Forgetting to stack checkers
as much as possible could mean that you have numerous isolated checkers on the board.
This can strengthen your relationship, even when playing virtually, as you’re playing
together without outside distractions getting in the
way. You should also keep an eye out for any checkers
they leave in a single space so that you are able to knock them
off the board entirely. This can be achieved by stacking checkers in adjacent corners, as it
means they need to roll a specific number on the die to be able to move forward.
Removing a player's checker from the board and sending
it back to the beginning. Your opponent can not enter this space or remove your checkers when you achieve
a prime. An open point is any point that is currently unoccupied,
meaning that no players have placed a checker here.
